On May 11th, The Rosendin Foundation’s Sacramento, CA team of Rosendin volunteers went to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento to help them support families in need.

While we were there, we helped their ReStore Program with reusing, recycling, and repurposing home goods. The ReStore program helps preserve affordable housing for low-income families, seniors, and veterans in Sacramento. Our volunteers helped receive donations, organizing and stocking inventory, and assembling and testing products.

Our team especially had fun using the pallet jacks and pricing the repurposed goods! We even had to bring out our tool bags for these assembly projects (and if you think designing and installing electrical is difficult, you try assembling furniture with no instructions!). Some of our volunteers even found their Zen while sweeping. But all left happy for helping to positively impact our community!

About Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization that seeks to put love into action by building homes, communities and hope. Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions. Habitat for Humanity was founded on the conviction that every person should have a simple, durable place to live in dignity and safety, and that decent shelter in decent communities should be a matter of conscience and action for all.
