Service Day: Aiea, HI – Building Bunk Beds
The Rosendin Foundation partnered with Layton Construction to volunteer on June 11th at Sleep in Heavenly Peace. Together we built beds for local keiki (children) without beds. There are 22 keiki on the waiting list for beds now. These keiki are sleeping on the floor, on couches, etc. We feel proud to be able to make an impact in our community by helping to give all keiki a proper place to sleep.
Additionally, Rosendin donated $1050 to Sleep in Heavenly Peace.
About Sleep in Heavenly Peace
All children deserve a safe, comfortable place to lay their heads. In Hawaii and across the US, too many keiki go without a bed—or even a pillow—to sleep on. These children end up sleeping on couches, blankets, and even floors. This can affect their happiness and health. That’s where Sleep in Heavenly Peace comes in. Sleep in Heavenly Peace is a group of volunteers dedicated to building, assembling and delivering top-notch bunk beds to children and families in need. The organization has grown steadily over time, and are working on opening more chapters in different states to serve more people.
