Monthly President’s Letter: September 2024
Dear Community Members and Builders,
This month, thanks to the generous support of our Patron Rosendin & MPS, Annual Sponsors DEWALT and Milwaukee Tool, and Golf Tournament sponsors, especially our presenting sponsors Border States and Sunbelt Rentals, we hosted a successful fundraiser and announced our largest grant allocation to date – $2.3MM. To check out photos from the golf tournament and auction, click here.
During our 3rd Annual Golf Tournament and Auction, we exceeded our increased goals and exceeded expectations thanks to your generosity. We are thankful for your support through the donation of items for our raffle and auction, support promoting the tournament, and for those who contributed by playing or volunteering. We continue to EXCEL thanks to the amazing team we have built. Thank you to former chair Ray Nelson for his years of support and leadership with the tournament. Much of our success is due to the amazing staff and volunteers who support our fundraising efforts.
Since our inception in July 2020, we have distributed $4,208,650 to 296 nonprofits nationally. I would like to take a moment and pause to reflect on how we grew from giving out $185,850 in small emergency grants to forty-nine nonprofits to where we are today. This is only possible because of YOU! Thank you for your engagement and support. Special thanks to past, current, and future members of the Grant Making Committee for your due diligence to ensure that our hard-earned dollars are benefiting impactful nonprofits.
Our Communications Committee led by Chair Stacy Quilla will be organizing Granting Days to invite our nonprofit partners into offices/job sites to meet our employees and each other as well as to share about the impactful work they are performing in our local communities to improve our community’s health. Stay tuned for date announcements from your local Communications Committee representative.
Thank you to Legacy Circle and Rosendin VP James Crisafulli and the Renewables team for delivering our $5,000 emergency grant to Harvest for the Hungry Inc. for their cooling unit replacement to refrigerate precious food for those in hunger. Thank you to these amazing nonprofit partners for their hard work to support community members. You can find all nonprofits supported on our website.
Our volunteers demonstrated our We CARE core value. Our Austin/Pflugerville volunteers collected and assembled kitchen kits for SAFE Alliance. Our MPS volunteers helped set up for Children’s Advocacy Center for North Texas’ charity auction. The Pflugerville volunteers also made Meals from the Heart in the form of hearty chili and cornbread for the families receiving support at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas. Our Temple volunteers continued to deliver meals for Meals on Wheels Belton. Our San Jose volunteers donated life-saving blood. We will continue to share Service Day activities in the monthly newsletter. Please join us in positively impacting our community.
I encourage you to like and comment on our socials, subscribe to our YouTube channel, and share this newsletter to amplify our mission. As October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, I encourage you to reach out to your local shelter to see how you can help survivors in our community.
