Monthly President’s Letter: November 2024
Dear Community Members and Builders,
In this month of Thanksgiving, we continue to distribute emergency and annual grants as one method of demonstrating that WE CARE. Thank you to our volunteers and sponsors/donors for supporting The Rosendin Foundation. Without you, we are nothing but an idea. Your involvement and engagement are how we execute our mission to positively impact communities, build and empower people, and inspire innovation.
Thank you for joining us for the local Granting Day Celebrations and LISTENING to the wonderful programs that our local nonprofit partners are doing to support our communities. Through listening we understand the struggles that our nonprofit partners face and can forge meaningful relationships. We were excited to bringing these celebrations to you so WE could SHARE and encourage collaboration between our Rosendin and MPS employees and nonprofit partners. Together through collaboration, we can inspire each other and contribute to the community. Giving grants is but one way to demonstrate how WE CARE and when we create multiple avenues to show respect through philanthropy, we help improve lives where we work and live. Thank for helping us to carry out our mission and creating new ways to connect. This really is how WE INNOVATE and WE EXCEL. Through all our values, we create true community impact.
Our team has been hard at work planning TRF Camp Build 2025. We have secured all our locations and dates. We have secured our first sponsors (DeWalt, Milwaukee Tool, Border States, Graybar, Powering Arizona, Dickies, and Sherwin Williams) and started sharing our local camp flyers. We are excited to welcome potentially 160 campers to McKinney (TX), Austin (TX), Phoenix (AZ), Commerce (CA), Charlotte (NC), and Sterling (VA). We would appreciate your help is sharing about our nationwide camps. For the first time, we will have two weeklong camps happening on each coast and another in the center. Sponsorships and camper applications close on March 31st. Please share my contact information with any potential sponsors.
Our volunteers continued to demonstrate our We CARE core value. Our Central Texas volunteers conducted a coat drive with partner The Junior League of Austin. Our North Carolina volunteers did the same for those in need in Western North Carolina following the Hurricane. They also volunteered with small projects and electrical needs at Shining Hope Farms. Our Arizona volunteers helped repair and prepare bicycles for Arizona Association for Foster & Adoptive Parents. We will continue to share Service Day activities in the monthly newsletter. Please join us in positively impacting our community.
Thank you for supporting The Rosendin Foundation and for being members of our community building efforts. When we have community, we are not alone.
In Community,
Jolsna Thomas, President
